Boston, March 29, 2018, — Chinatown Business Association (CBA) held its first Chinese New Year banquet last night at Empire Garden restaurant in Boston Chinatown. Mayor Walsh and many other distinguished guests were among over 400 attendees to celebrate the success and contributions of businesses in Boston Chinatown.

The 67th Wideman Piano Competition Gold Medalists: Wang Yinuo and Mei Li
Dec. 11, 2017, — Wang Yinuo and Mei Li were named Gold Medalists at the 67th Wideman International Piano Competition. Both young pianists were rising stars in China.
Wang Yinuo, born in Beijing, China in October 1996. Starting to play the piano at the age of 4. In 2007, she was admitted as a piano student to the Music Elementary School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) in Beijing, and in 2010 she entered the Music Middle School attached to CCOM.

Blackstone to Make Strategic Investment in Boston-Based Rockpoint
New York, March 13, 2018 – Blackstone (NYSE: BX) and Rockpoint Group, L.L.C. (Rockpoint) announced today that Blackstone’s Strategic Capital Holdings Fund has acquired a passive, minority equity stake in Rockpoint, a Boston-based global real estate investment management firm. Mayor Walsh Announces School Closures as Blizzard of 2018 Batters Bay State

Boston Public Schools Closed on Thursday as Second Winter Storm in a Week Arrives
BOSTON – Wednesday, March 7, 2018 – Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced the City’s continued preparations for the winter storm, which is expected to bring 4 to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow with most snow accumulating after 8pm tonight and ending around 6am Thursday morning. A winter storm warning will be in effect until 1pm Thursday afternoon. Sustained winds of 10-20MPH are expected throughout the duration of the storm, with wind gusts up to 40MPH.
Boston Public Works helped cleanup streets in Quincy after the March 2 winder storm caused significant damage in Quincy.
