Picture Perfect: 2012 Chinatown Main Street Festival Meets Dragon Boat Festival

This year’s Boston Chinatown Main Street Festival falls on the same day as the Dragon Boat Festival, which is on May 5 on Chinese Lunar calendar. The weather was perfect with temperature in the low 80s and low humility. Thousands of Boston residents and tourists showed up for the festival and enjoyed an afternoon of festivities, food and shopping in Boston Chinatown. Connect Books Won NECINA’s YES 6.0 Business Plan Contest

Chelmsford, Mass. – The results of YES (Youth Entrepreneurship Service) program 6.0 was announced at New England Chinese Information & Network Association (NECINA)’s annual meeting at Radisson hotel. Connect Books, a team consisted of local high-school students Stephanie Chan, Eddy Zhong and Kevin Zhang, won the first prize, and Vital Communications finished in second place.

China Tells Buddhist, Taoist Temples Not To List IPOs
SHANGHAI — Buddhist and Taoist temples have no right to go public and list shares on stock exchanges, a Chinese official was quoted in state media as saying of an issue that seems to have touched a nerve with the officially atheist government.
