  • MBTA Phone Thief in Fatal Train Incident Arrested

    Boston, Nov. 8, 2014, (www.tpdnews411.com) On November 6, 2014 at approximately 9:48pm Transit Police officers working in Area 1 received a radio call to respond to the MBTA’s Downtown Crossing (Red Line) for a report of a person possibly struck by a train. Multiple Transit Police units responded along with Boston Fire and EMS.

  • Moore Police Statement on Fired Empolyee Beheading Coworker Case

    Moore Police received a 911 call from 216 NE 12th (Vaughn Foods) in reference to a subject attacking employees inside the business. As officers responded the caller advised someone had been stabbed then gunshots were fired inside the business. Officers entered the business treating it as an active shooter incident.

  • COMMUNITY ALERT: Two Women Assaulted in Brighton

    Boston, August 17, 2014, /bpdnews.com/ — At about 7:50 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014, officers assigned to District D-14 (Brighton) responded to a report of an indecent assault and battery in the area of 39 Brighton Avenue in Brighton. Upon arrival, officers were met by a female victim who reported she had been sexually assaulted by a male suspect. The suspect fled the area on Gardner Street toward Harvard Avenue prior to police arrival.

  • Chinese Consulate Issues Strong Condemnation of Isla Vista Killings

    (from chinadaily.com.cn) May 27, 2014, –China’s Consulate General in Los Angeles condemned the shooting rampage in Isla Vista, California, that killed six students at the nearby University of California Santa Barbara, three of them Chinese.

    “The Consulate General expresses strong condemnation of this violent behavior. We are mourning and express our deepest condolences to the victims and their family members,” said a spokesman for the Consulate, who asked that he not be named, on Tuesday. He said they have kept close contact with local police, the school and student community to help identify the victims.
