Song Zuying’s Radio City Music Hall Concert — Picture Perfect

New York City, Feb. 17, 2013 –In the evening of Feb. 16, 2013, “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” Song Zuying USA Spectacular was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Despite of a cold windy night, over 6000 fans attended the concert. Together with American Symphony Orchestra and Collegiate Chorale Singers Chorus and two guest performers Tsewang Dorjei and Sha Baoliang, Song Zuying wowed her fans with her beautiful voice and four splendid costumes. One of the costumes was the traditional dress from the Miao ethnicity which Song Zuying is a member of.

According to Rachel Yang, director of Asian Cultural Center New York, Ms. Song’s February Radio City concert, a part of the “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” annual event, is organized by the Overseas Exchange Association of China and co-organized by the Asian Culture and Media Group USA. Beginning in 2009, the “Cultures of China, Festival of Spring” series has sponsored many elite art troupes of China to help promote Chinese culture and celebrate the traditional Chinese Spring Festival around the world.

Known as “Queen of Chinese folk songs,” Ms. Song Zuying is the most renowned and talented singer in China. Her famous songs include: Spicy Girl, Lucky Day, Song of Earth, Please Stay Guests from Far Away, I Love You, China, etc. Ms. Song’s transcendent presentation of Chinese folk music has received recognition and applause from music professionals and audience all around the world.

Tsewang Dorjei is a outstanding young famous tenor of Chinese folk music at the Zongzhen Song and Dance Ensemble. Of the Tibetan ethnic group, he has trained at the PLA Arts Academy under the instruction of the distinguished vocalist Prof. Meng Ling. Tsewang has won many awards and prizes in China.

Sha Baoliang is a well-known Chinese singer and also a songwriter. Graduated from the Beijing Arts Academy, Sha made his debut on the Mandopop scene in 1993. He has won many awards and prizes in China.
