Nov. 21, 2013, — When you walk on the streets, you may not be ready to take a punch on the head by someone with all of his strength. You are not in a boxing ring after all. In a latest TV report by Channel 2 CBS station in NYC, more and more people have become victims of the so-called “knockout game.”

“Just last week, CBS 2’s John Slattery reported on a disturbing series of attack on Jews in Brooklyn. Now we’re finding out New York City is not alone. Brutal video is coming in from various places, including Pittsburgh, where a teacher was attacked, and London, where a teen was hit from behind,” CBS 2 of NYC reports.

The knockout attacks are extremely dangerous, and can be fatal. They were first reported in New Jersey. In September 2013, 46-year-old Ralph Santiago of Hoboken, N.J., was killed after his head was slammed into an iron fence. The three suspects were just 13 and 14 years old.

The following is a Youtube video that captured some of the attacks.

The following is comments from Heather Potter on Nov. 21, 2013 on the Youtube video.

“This ‘game’ is starting to become extremely trendy. I use both terms loosely. I’m in Southern California and that ‘game’ has come here, it’s not just an East Coast thing anymore. With no time to react, it doesn’t even matter if we carry a weapon on us. These ‘kids’ and ‘young adults’ are just punching people out of the blue and the police are doing nothing about it. It’s frankly the most horrible crime on someone. It’s almost as bad as shooting someone in their sleep if you ask me.”
