Leland Cheung Kicked off Campaign for Lt. Governor

By Leland Cheung, Cambridge City Councilor

Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, I stood with family and friends and kicked off my campaign for Lt. Governor. It was humbling to have their support, but now I need yours. The first thing you can do is watch this video where I share my vision for Massachusetts.

After the kickoff, I spent the weekend criss-crossing the state, meeting with Democratic activists at the caucuses. I need your help to spread my message about innovating state government and making sure that no one gets left behind by the new economy.

When I first ran for City Council in 2009, it was an unlikely candidacy. We started far behind, and I still can’t believe how far we’ve come.

While Massachusetts is headed in the right direction, I believe there’s more we can do. We can use technology to make government more transparent and efficient, we can make sure the innovation economy isn’t leaving anyone behind, and we can continue to make Massachusetts more equitable and progressive.

This will be a long journey, but I know with your help we can move Massachusetts forward.
