is now recruiting a suitable candidate for the position of

PRESS OFFICER
(From US$56,000 to US$65,000 per annum, depending on experience)

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head of the communications and public relations unit with handling public relations, and executing publicity programs and media events in the eastern US; conducting research requests, updating website contents; responding to enquiries from the media and the public; monitoring newspaper reports on Hong Kong/China; compiling news summaries and developing and liaising with relevant contacts.

Term: Two and one-half year contract term.

Gratuity: 10% of total base salary, to be paid upon satisfactory completion of the employment contract.

Requirements: (a) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in public relations, media studies, marketing or related fields; (b) minimum 4 years of relevant public relations and communications experience in public relations consultancies and/or media organizations; (c) excellent presentation and written skills in English and Chinese (preferably in both Cantonese and Putonghua); (d) comprehensive understanding of and keen interest in Hong Kong; (e) strong computer proficiency including proven video editing and production skills; and (f) valid permit for working in the US.
