Anson Chan to Deliver Keynote Address at Tufts University China-US Symposium

Boston, March 31, 2016, — HK2020 Convenor Anson Chan is invited to deliver a keynote address at the Tufts University Sino-US Relations Group Engagement (SURGE) 9th Annual China-U.S. Symposium on 3 April. The China-US Symposium is an annual event held at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Medford, MA, organized by both Tufts undergraduates and Fletcher students.

The theme of the Symposium this year is “Moving Forward”. The goal of this two-day academic conference (2-3 April 2016) is to foster positive relations between China and the United States, cultivating cooperation and understanding between students and experts from different backgrounds and cultures. Mrs Chan will speak on the theme “Sustaining Core Values in a Turbulent World”.

During her visit to Boston, Mrs Chan will also speak to the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations and the Harvard Kennedy School. Anson Chan has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa by Tufts University and has been closely involved with Tufts University’s Institute for Leadership and International Perspective.
