New York City, June 1, 2013, — Starting from early 1980s, tens of thousands graduates from Chinese Universities started to pursue graduate studies abroad with China’s Open Door policy. American universities were often their top choices. Many of them stayed in the US after gaining master’s and doctoral degrees, and became scientists, professors, engineers and entrepreneurs.

Chinese University Alumni Alliance is a non-profit organization registered in the United States and headquartered in New York City. The Alliance aims to function as a platform for exchanges between Chinese university alumni in North America and a bridge for mutual exchanges, understanding and cooperation between US and Chinese universities, so as to promote US-China People-to-people exchanges and friendship, and to serve the alumni and local communities. Its members include Alumni Associations of more than 30 Chinese universities (see the list below). |
