Must See: Maya — Hidden World Revealed at Museum of Science

Medford, Oct. 15, 2014, –We went to see the Mayan exhibit in the science Museum last weekend, now that it’s open to the public you would enjoy that very much.

The ruined cities cities of The Maya have captured our imagination since their discovery in Central America In the mid-19th century. The Maya build elaborate city without modern machinery ,communicated using one of the world first written languages ,measured time using complicated calendar systems and had an advanced understanding of astronomy and agriculture.

This is the largest exhibition of its kind in the United States. Invite you to uncover the rise and eventual decline of this majestic civilization. Including its social ,natural and spiritual realms–through never before seen artifacts, hands-on activities, Multimedia components, And re-created Environments. Experience a cross section of Maya life and learn how the Maya people and their cultural endure to this day.


It was presented in English and Spanish. I have not seen the IMAX film Mystery of the Maya and that Planetarium -tales of the Maya sky illuminate the science art and Mythology of this remarkable civilization.
