Boston, June 29, 2015, As we celebrate the Independence Day this weekend, it would be such a great pleasure to see a native of Lexington, Mass. brings the Gold medal of piano competition at the 15th Tchaikovsky Competition back to the USA. After another brilliant performance in the final round, 19-year-old George Li has become a fan favorite and a clear front runner of the piano competition.
Music critic wrote of Li’s final round performance:”By contrast, competitor George Li as soon as he touched the piano showed that he had no intention of fading into the background. He demonstrated his best qualities as a pianist for virtuoso concertos and deployed his massive arsenal of technique (his extremely powerful octave passage work was especially impressive), and his youthful sincerity and attractiveness brought liveliness, freshness, and fervor to the interpretation of the music. ”
