  • Consul General Sun Guoxiang Hosts China’s National Day Reception in NYC

    New York City, Sept. 30, 2013 –On Sept. 27, Sun Guoxiang, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in New York City, hosted a lunch reception in celebration of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. More than 450 people, including guests from government institutions, diplomatic corps and business sector, attended the event.

  • 浙江赴美服务业高级人才培训班圆满结束

    【波士顿华人双语网李强报道】由27位成员组成的浙江赴美服务业高级人才培训班从9月10日开始，在哈佛大学上课，以及对电子港湾、奥克兰港、纳斯达克、联邦储备银行等机构的实地考察共计三周的培训，日前返回浙江同正在发国庆节长假的亲人团聚。浙江省发改委、人社厅为了办好好这次培训班，做了大量准备工作。而培训班学员在波士顿期间也在培训之余，在沃本（Woburn）镇希尔顿酒店同本地华人专业人士举行了中秋联谊餐会。

  • Prof. Shi Yigong of Tsinghua University Wins Aminoff Prize 2014

    The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has dedicated the award the Gregori Aminoff Prize in Crystallography 2014 to Professor Shi Yigong, Dean of the School of Life Sciences at Tsinghua University, according to a news release by RSAS in September. Professor Shi was awarded “for his groundbreaking crystallographic studies of proteins and protein complexes that regulate programmed cell Death.”

    【波士顿华人双语网李强报道】奥斯卡金奖得主李安导演本月底将访问波士顿，出席10月25日下午在哈佛大学费正清中国研究中心的电影研讨会等多个活动。李安人还没到，他的多部经典电影将本月在波士顿地区上映，让大家有机会回顾这位著名华人导演的辉煌艺术生涯。而李安访问波士顿期间，李安的粉丝们也将得到和他现场交流的机会。

  • CRISPR Symposium at Harvard Medical School Draws Crowds

    Boston, Sept. 30, 2013, — Doing research in life sciences is a tough business. It requires years of training, long work hours and patience. Breakthrough discoveries are few and far in between, but they could improve lives of millions people. Recently, a symposium at Harvard Medical School (HMS) drew about 300 students and researchers to packed Cannon Room of Building C to listen to four distinguished fellow researchers sharing their experiences.

  • 费城、华盛顿、巴尔的摩4天3夜流浪记

    补充：有同学问到花费，我们这次去是包括车费、住宿费、门票费（其实基本没有门票费）、吃的费用、地铁费、小费等所有费用加在一起平均每人接近但不到300刀（不包括个人买纪念品的消费，四人总共消费再平均下来是266.865刀每人）。

    对于美国东海岸的童鞋来说呢，趁春假这段时间去华盛顿看樱花是一个很好的选择，基本上bus可直达。2012年是华盛顿特区樱花节100周年，所以去华盛顿看樱花成了我的不二选择。其实原本目的地只有华盛顿一个，但刚好我一看地图呢，费城和巴尔的摩刚好就顺路，于是列入行程当中。如下图所示，我们的行程为：纽约-费城（宿一晚）-华盛顿（宿两晚）-巴尔的摩-纽约。华盛顿特区是美国的首都，费城是美国最老最具历史意义的城市，而巴尔的摩则是美国主要海港之一，美国国歌诞生的地方。

  • 波城安良舉辦110週年晚會 為慈善基金會募捐

    【波士頓華人雙語網特約記者李心茗報導】9月27日晚，波城安良工商會假昆市龍鳳酒樓舉辦了盛大的創會110周年暨慈善基金會籌款晚會。近500名來賓分48桌就坐，每桌550元的收入將全數捐給波城安良工商會慈善基金會。

  • Frank Wang Wins The Tenth Annual Boston China Cup Golf Tournament

    Boston, Oct. 1, 2013, — Tenth annual Boston Chinese Golf Association (BCGA) Cup, also known as China Cup, was held on Sunday, September 29, at Stow Acres Golf Club. The weather was very perfect for playing golf with mild temperatures and little wind.
