    【波士顿南开校友会供稿】金秋十月，波士顿南开校友会欢聚在老四川饭庄，欢迎新生人学联谊新老校友及欢度国庆佳节。尽管受天气影响，出席的人数不是很多，但气氛非常热烈，到场的校友还是海阔天空，谈笑风生。同是南开人，一样的情怀，说不完的话语。茶余饭后，进行了校友会的选举活动。

  • 塔夫茨医学中心10月26日举办免费妇女癌症筛查

    【波士顿华人双语网10月15日综合报道】你可能已经注意到最近在NFL和MLB球员的球衣的粉红色的丝带。十月是全国乳腺癌宣传月。美国病理学家协会（CAP）的成员病理学家，连同许多医疗保健专业人员，捐赠他们的时间和专业知识，为美国各地的妇女提供“看，测试和治疗”癌症筛查和后续护理。塔夫茨医学中心将于10月26日举办波士顿地区的“看、测试和治疗”免费筛查妇女。注册信息，请参阅以下海报。

  • Free Cancer Screenings for Women to Be Offered at Tufts Medical Center

    Boston, Oct. 15, 2013, — You may have noticed the pink ribbons on the jerseys of NFL and MLB players lately. October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. College of American Pathologists (CAP) member pathologists, together with a team of health care professionals, donate their time and expertise to deliver same-day screening, results, and connection to follow-up care. Tufts Medical Center will host a See, Test & Treat free cancer screening for women on Oct. 26. See the poster below for registration information.

  • 又到十月 你关爱乳房了吗？

    【波士顿华人双语网综合报道】大家最近看NFL、MLB等美国职业体育比赛，可能会注意到运动员的服装上印有粉红丝带标志。原来每年十月是国际乳腺癌防治月，是一个国际性健康运动。该运动由主要的乳腺癌慈善组织在每个十月定期举行来增加公众对乳腺癌的认识和募集对该病症的起因，募集防治和治疗研究的资金。而美国是世界上乳腺癌高发的国家之一，今年5月份，好莱坞知名女星安吉丽娜·朱莉(Angelina Jolie)致信《纽约时报》，声称她已经接受预防性的双乳房切除术，以降低罹癌风险，乳腺癌的防治引起世界性的关注。

  • Lost Years Makes 2013 IFFM Selection, Toronto Premiere Next

    Lost Years is an award winning documentary tracing four generations of racism as revealed through the journey and family story of Kenda Gee, a Chinese Canadian. Co-Produced/Directed by Kenda Gee and Tom Radford, the documentary begins in China in 1910 and concludes with the movement to embrace redress as a concept of social justice in Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Australia, exactly a century later. This film has been shown on China’s CCTV with millions of viewers. In next two weeks, people in two of the largest cities in North America will have the opportune to watch it in theaters.

  • 军训感言及女大学生戎装照片

    一个月就这样过去了，一块儿结束的还有我们的军训，真是应了那句我们熟悉地耳朵起茧的话“时光似箭，岁月如梭”。

    那是在高中刚开学时，我们军训十天，当时我们特别反感军训，又累又晒。结束后整个人都变成了碳人，身上黑白分别。特别是训练时教官的那种严厉和考验我们的耐性。但我们的年轻班主任却说大学军训更苦，时间更长，晒得更黑。所以还未进入大学，我对大学的军训就有了一点儿恐惧感。

  • NEU Student Derek Hsu Wins Kollaboration Boston 3

    Boston, Oct. 12, 2013, — Kollaboration Boston 3 was held at Berklee Performance Center in the evening of Oct. 11. After 3-hour competition and performances in front of an audience of 500, Derek Hus took home the grand prize with his amazing routine of Chinese Yo-yo. The Movement Box (Vocal Percussion/Dance) took the runner-up prize.
