    应广西有关部门的邀请，杨文博士于1月14日至28日以美国新英格兰地区广西同乡会理事会会长、美国广西社团总会理事会常务副会长、和 Imgen BioSciences， Inc。（安真生物科学有限公司）总裁的身份，从美国波士顿回广西进行考察访问。在广西期间，杨会长宣传并介绍了新英格兰地区广西同乡会在美国举办的各项活动及其影响，探讨了与广西有关机构开展科技经贸文化合作的可能性，达成了初步的意向。在南宁期间，杨文会长拜访了广西自治区政府和民间团体有关领导和同行专家，均受到了热烈欢迎和热情接待。

  • Angel Dance Company Brings Splendid Colors to Boston’s Spring

    Weston, Mass. — Angle Dance Company presented a brand new show Colors from the East on March 24 at Regis College. “Am I at Boston Flower and Garden show or at a dance show?” I asked myself at moments. The colorful costumes combined with modern lighting equipment used during the performance brought wonderful visual effect that wowed about 500 people in the audience. Many of them saw a live Chinese traditional dance show for the first time and enjoyed a fabulous evening.

  • 2013 US High School Student Chinese Bridge Speech Contest to be Held on April 7 at UMass Boston

    Boston, April 2, 2013 — The 2013 National High School Student Chinese Bridge Chinese Speech Contest will take place this coming Sunday at UMass Boston from 11:30am-5:00pm. Twenty-four talented high school students from across US will compete in this year’s contest.

  • 北大、中科大校友占2013斯隆研究奖华人得奖者八成

    【中新网3月30日电】 据美国《侨报》消息，始于1955年的斯隆青年学者研究奖(Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowships)日前公布了2013年的获奖者名单，126名获奖者中包括了16名华人青年学者。他们分布在全美各地的大学和研究所，多数都是70年代末和80年代初出生，如今多数都是各自所在学校的助理教授或副教授。今年获奖者中来自北京大学和中国科技大学的校友人数最多，其中北大8人，中科大5人。

  • 风华被停运 两家巴士公司见势挺进

    【侨报周末特约记者李强波士顿报道】 纽约和波士顿之间的往返长途巴士线路因为其广大的客流量，历来是美东各大客运公司争夺的热点。就在风华被联邦政府暂停运营后不久，两家主流运输公司抢驻纽约至波士顿长途巴士的低端市场，最低价都是单程20元，比风华停运前的15元票价高出33％。
