    【波士顿双语网2021年12月12日讯】在2022年北京冬奥会倒数50日即将到来之际，大波士顿中国和统会、波士顿福建同乡会共同发起和主办，波士顿北京同乡会、剑桥中国文化中心、纽英伦中华侨立学校、中美文化协会、冠军国际体育文化协会美国分会等团体共囊盛举，今天在紧邻哈佛大学校园的麻州剑桥市中心公园举行了支持北京冬奥音乐会。来自中美两国的音乐家们为数百位民众表演了精彩的节目，共同祝福将在2022年2月4日开幕的北京冬奥会圆满成功。

    親愛的中華頤養院的家人和朋友：

    很多人都知道陳毓璇 Bill Chin這個名字，但有些人可能不知道陳毓璇叔是中華頤養院的創始人之一。如果沒有他對社區的奉獻，我就不會寫這封信，也沒有他意識到華人長老需要一個文化上有能力的組織來照顧他們晚年。

  • Apply Now for 2022 ILF Civic Fellowship!

    WASHINGTON, DC, Dec. 7, 2021, — The International Leadership Foundation (ILF) is now accepting applications for the Summer 2022 Civic Fellowship Program. Every year, ILF’s selection committee identifies approximately 30 outstanding Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) college students to spend 8 to 10 weeks interning at a federal agency in Washington D.C. during the summer term. Students are also placed in the U.S. Congress, nonprofits and think tanks.

  • 遊子獎獲得者阮郇標醫生去世，享年99歲

    在這特殊新冠病毒瘟疫一年，紐英崙華人歷史協會特別向醫療服務人員，尤其是阮郇標醫生(Dr. Robert Yuan: Neurosurgeon and Co-founder of GBCCA)他是美籍華裔波士頓地區神經手術科的先驅，及大波士頓中華文化協會(Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association)共同創辦人。我們頒發遊子獎表揚他在專科貢獻，多年照顧病人，栽培世界各地後進，領導大波士頓一流亞裔社團，弘揚中華文化。

    1940年代後期阮郇標醫生在上海宏仁醫院吉普汽車前 (Robert Yuan with a jeep of St. Luke’s Hospital in Shanghai in the late 1940s)
    阮郇標生於 1922 年，一個寧波著名基督教徒家庭，首位華人聖公會主教沈載琛 (1861-1940) 的孫子。他是主教兒子沈嗣良(1899-1967)上海基督教名校聖約翰大學的侄子。美國聖公會創辦該大學，他的家人周聯華是蔣介石總統及其兒子蔣經國總統在台灣的家庭牧師。

  • 安徽之声音乐晚会圆满举行，弘扬皖风徽韵支持北京冬奥

    【波士顿双语网纽约讯】2021年11月28日，旅美安徽同乡会在纽约法拉盛市政大厅剧场，举行了以“弘杨皖风徽韵、思念大美安徽”为主题的《安徽之声》音乐晚会。晚会全体演出人员128人，观众240多人，演出持续３小时２８分钟另１０秒，掌声不断，喝彩连连！高潮迭起。《安徽之声音乐晚会》，首场演出，演出取得巨大成功。

  • The Met Received $125 M from Oscar Tang and Agnes Hsu-Tang to Fund the Museum’s Modern Wing

    New York City, November 30, 2021, — The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today that Oscar Tang and Agnes Hsu-Tang have pledged $125 million to fund the renovation of the Museum’s Modern Wing. This is the largest capital gift ever to The Met and follows Oscar Tang’s nearly 30 years of service and leadership as a Trustee, as well as his extraordinary generosity in endowing curatorial positions, funding new and expanded galleries, and providing exceptional gifts of art. With this gift, The Met moves forward with a re-envisioning of the presentation of modern and contemporary art within the Museum, creating 80,000 square feet of galleries and public space named the Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Wing.
