We will never forget the chaos and heartbreak after the Marathon bombings, never allow hate speech against Asian Americans to be unchallenged, and never hesitate to give voices to those who needed the most.   • New York Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade Meets Super Bowl Sunday

    New York City, Feb. 2, 2014, — The 15th Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival was held today in Manhattan. Thousands of residents, tourists and Super Bowl fans enjoyed this annual celebration. And the celebration of Year of Horse might really be a good sign for the Denver Broncos who will play against Seattle Sea Hawks in Super Bowl XLVIII in Metlife Stadium eleven miles from New York Chinatown at 6:30 PM this evening.

  • Boston Marches Forward as Year of Snake Ends

    Boston, Jan. 27, 2014, — The Chinese New Year of Horse starts this Friday, Jan. 31. It will bring an end of the Year of Snake which was full of dramatic events.

    Two bombs interrupted Boston Marathon in the afternoon of April 15 near the finish line on Boylston Street. The picture below has become a symbol of Boston Strong as people of Boston dealt with the aftermath of the bombings.

  • Empow Studios Empower Kids for Technology Economy of Tomorrow

    Lexington, Mass., Jan. 23, 2013, — I started to do some research on local technology classes for kids when my 5-year-old son told me that he wanted to become a robot builder a few weeks ago. A friend of mine mentioned Empow Studios to me. I made a visit to Empow Studios in downtown Lexington a couple days ago, and had a brief interview with its founder Mr. Leonid Tunik.

  • Asian American Association of Boston Holds Friendship Party

    Cambridge, Mass., Jan. 21, 2014, –Asian American Association of Boston(AAAOB) held its first Friendship Party in the afternoon of Jan. 18 at Cambridge Innovation Center on One Broadway. Despite a snowstorm on that day, close to 100 invited guests still showed up. AAAOB board president Ye Huang, executive director Klysler Yen, and director of AAAOB’s Performing Art Troupe Jicheng Gu warmly welcomed all guests.

Since its publication in 1982, this novel has sold more than 5 million copies in 22 languages. The Warner Bros/Amblin Entertainment motion picture “The Color Purple” opened December 20, 1985, was directed by Steven Spielberg and starred Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Danny Glover and Laurence Fishburne.
