  • Malden Beats: Arts Month, English Works Campaign and A Special Raffle

  • MIT Dragon Held on the Lead in a Friendly Soccer Match Against Boston United

    Cambridge, Mass. – In the evening of September 15, MIT Dragon soccer team hosted a friendly soccer match against Boston United at Henry Steinbrenner Stadium & Track. Players from both teams enjoyed an evening of playing soccer on a beautiful autumn night, and the match was played at a high level as there were many outstanding players from both teams.

  • K-9 Unit Joined Malden Police in Sweep of Public Areas

    Malden, Mass. — Responding to increasing public concerns about the escalation of criminal activity in parks and other public areas, Malden Police at the request of Police Chief James Holland, joined by several law enforcement agencies from surrounding communities and county and state police units, conducted a comprehensive sweep of playgrounds, parks and other public areas on Friday (September 14) night to send a message that criminal conduct will not be tolerated in Malden.

  • Next Media Animation’s Youtube Video Made Fun of NY Yankees

    Boston – In a Youtube video titled “New York Yankees 2012 season headed off the rails,” Taiwan’s Next Media Animation created quite a few uncomfortable scenes for the NY Yankees and its fans. There were all the infielders on walkers, the ace pitch as fat as a whale, and A-Rod hurt often as he could no longer get steroids.

  • HKS Conference Focuses on “The Truly Disadvantaged”, Poverty, Race and Inequality

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Twenty-five years after the publication of Professor William Julius Wilson’s groundbreaking book, “The Truly Disadvantaged: The Inner City, the Underclass, and Public Policy,” Wilson and more than 20 leading social science scholars from throughout the country will gather September 14 at Harvard University.  The one-day conference, organized by Harvard Kennedy School’s (HKS) Malcolm Wiener Center on Social Policy, will focus on the latest thinking on poverty and economic inequality as outlined by Wilson in the afterword of his book’s second edition (The University of Chicago Press, 2012).

  • Calls for Contestants – The Sixth New England Chinese Dance Competition

    The American Chinese Art Society (ACAS) will be sponsoring the Sixth New England Chinese Dance Competition on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the ACAS Activity Center. The Competition is a not-for-profit event. Beginning in 2005, the New England Chinese Dance Competition has been held every other year.
