  • N. E. Regional Council of Carpenters Endorses Diana Hwang for State Senate

    Boston, March 2, 2016, – The New England Regional Council of Carpenters today endorsed Democrat Diana Hwang for State Senate. Hwang, a local non-profit founder and former State House staffer, is a candidate to replace Anthony Petruccelli in the Democratic primary special election for Massachusetts’ First Suffolk and Middlesex State Senate District.

  • Governor Baker Swears In Workforce Development Board

    Boston, Feb. 25, 2016 – Today, Governor Charlie Baker swore in members of the new Massachusetts Workforce Development Board at a State House ceremony prior to the board’s first public hearing where they are charged with making recommendations to improve the public workforce system and align policies to strengthen regional economies. Verizon New England’s Region President Donna Cupelo, was named the Board’s chair, which will include public officials, business and workforce representatives.

  • Protesters in More Than 40 Cities in North America Rally for Officer Liang

    New York City, Feb. 20, 2016 — More than 100,000 protesters in more than 40 major cities across the U.S. and Canada are united as The Coalition of Justice for Liang to rally for justice of ex-NYPD officer Peter Liang today. These cities include New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Miami and Calgary, Canada among others. These peaceful protects are among the largest rallies in the Asian American communities.
