On Thursday, March 5, 2015, in Seoul, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Mark Lippert underwent surgery to treat wounds to his face and hand following an assault earlier that day. He is currently recovering in the hospital. As the Ambassador tweeted Thursday afternoon from Seoul, he is doing well and in great spirits.

Ambassador Lippert tweeted: “Doing well&in great spirits! Robyn, Sejun, Grigsby & I – deeply moved by the support! Will be back ASAP to advance US-ROK alliance! 같이 갑시다!” The Korean words in the end mean “let’s go together”.

Acton, Mass., March 5, 2015, — The Acton Chinese Language School (ACLS) hosted Chinese New Year celebration on March 1 from 3:30 to 8:30 PM at the Acton Boxborough Regional High School. Over 1,000 students, teachers, parents and guests showed up for the cultural events in the afternoon and evening gala performances that featured traditional singing, dancing and musical instruments.

Lunar New Year Gala Showcases Leadership by Women Professionals

Boston, March 3, 2015, — The New England Chinese Professionals 2015 Lunar New Year Gala and Community Forum were held at Boston Marriott in Newton, Mass. recently. Close to 1,000 members of the 16 professional associations, guests and visitors participated in the day-long event despite snowy weather, and witnessed the confident leadership by women professionals who played leading roles in putting together this year’s event.

Photo Exhibit at Boston City Hall Honors Women’s History Month
Boston, March 3, 2015 – In honor of Women’s History Month, Mayor Martin J. Walsh today joined the Office of Arts & Culture and the Office of Women’s Advancement in launching Lift/Women PowerLifters. This art display will feature the exhibition by photographer Liane Brandon in The Mayor’s Gallery on the fifth floor at Boston City Hall.

Mayor Walsh Cheers for the Chinese New Year at CMA Banquet

Boston, March 1, 2015, — Mayor Martin Walsh attended the Chinese New Year banquet of Chinese Merchants Association (CMA) at China Pearl restaurant in Boston Chinatown tonight. Mayor Walsh and board members of the CMA led three toasts for health, booming business and family harmony for the Chinese New Year of Sheep.

HCSSA Hosts Harvard China Day Celebrations

Feb. 28, 2015, Cambridge, Mass., — Harvard Chinese Students and Scholars Association (HCSSA) presented an authentic Chinese cultural fest at the Science Center Plaza, the very heart of the Harvard campus On Friday, Feb. 27, between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. The 2015 Harvard China Day festivities included panda sculpture painting and a variety of traditional Spring Festival games. It is a great celebrating and interacting event for Harvard students to enjoy and appreciate Chinese culture.

Chyten Debuts First-in-the-Nation New SAT vs. ACT Comparison Test
Newton, Mass., Feb. 26, 2015, — This week, Chyten Educational Services (www.chyten.com) became the first company in the country to offer a NEW SAT vs. ACT Comparison Test. It debuted this week to 145 students in Montclair, NJ. The test, created by Neil Chyten and the development team at Chyten in Newton, Mass, becomes the nation’s first test of its kind. According to Chyten, not only is it first but it is also entirely accurate.
