  • Connect Books Won NECINA’s YES 6.0 Business Plan Contest

    Chelmsford, Mass. – The results of YES (Youth Entrepreneurship Service) program 6.0 was announced at New England Chinese Information & Network Association (NECINA)’s annual meeting at Radisson hotel. Connect Books, a team consisted of local high-school students Stephanie Chan, Eddy Zhong and Kevin Zhang, won the first prize, and Vital Communications finished in second place.

  • Industry Leaders Exchanged Perspectives at BioPharma Outlook 2012

    June 17, 2012, Cambridge MA — On the eve of BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organization) 2012, BioPharma Outlook 2012 was successfully held at M.I.T. Faculty Club, presented by Chinese-American BioMedical Association (CABA) and Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association, USA (CBA). BIO 2012 is one of the most important conferences in the biopharmaceutical industry, and attracts more than 15,000 attendees from around the world.

  • 龍年龍舟勢如虹 — 記第33屆波士頓香港龍舟節

    【侨报周末特約記者李強波士頓圖文報道】在連續數天的陰雨天後，6月10日波士頓天氣開始放晴，查爾斯河兩岸人頭攢動，鑼鼓喧天。來自北美各地的44支龍舟隊在數千名觀衆的加油聲中龍年賽龍舟，氣勢如虹。

  • 波士顿的百灵鸟唱响中国茉莉花

    2011年7月7日，记者在波士顿市中心的丽思卡尔顿（Ritz Carlton）酒店同国际著名歌星希瑟·施密德（Heather Schmid）作了访谈。 家住波士顿南郊的施密德，自2005年开始多次到中国各地举办演唱会。 她自己改编的新版中国民歌《茉莉花》获得广泛的好评。

  • 少林眞功夫震撼北昆士高中

    日前在北昆市高中大禮堂舉行少林功夫表演中，來自紐約、芝加哥和波士頓的少林功夫傳人和他們近60名弟子，爲全場500多位觀眾上演了一場精彩的武術表演，贏得現場觀衆一片喝彩。

  • World Renowned Shaolin Kung Fu To Be Performed at Lincoln Field on July 1

    The 35th generation Shaolin warrior monk, Master Heng Zhen from Shaolin Temple China, and his students from Boston Shaolin Kungfu Center in Quincy, will perform Shaolin Kung Fu at Lincoln Field of Lexington, Mass., at 3 PM on July 1. This event is free to all.

  • 雨中揮杆爲慈善　第11屆“台商杯”高球賽圓滿落幕

    【僑報周末特約記者李強波士頓報道】 新英格蘭大波士頓台灣商會在新英格蘭台灣靑商會、新英格蘭高爾夫球會、Westnet醫療手術器材公司贊助下，于6月2日在坎頓市（Canton）Ponkapoag高爾夫球場冒雨舉辦了第11屆“台商杯”高爾夫球賽。雖然今年比賽的天氣比去年差很多，但參賽選手們的熱情和斗志卻不輸往年。

    【本報特約記者李強波士頓圖文報道】 6月3日晩,藝文小集在大波士頓文協（GBCCA）會址以戴曉雲和吳霄龍談“東西方文化之橋——絲綢之路上的文化遙想”爲題，就敦煌藏絹畫和馬家塬墓地的發掘同20多位與會者一起作了深入探討。趙鍾英老師特地帶來她在家中種的好幾朵新鮮綻放的牡丹花，讓演講廳內花香四溢。

  • 黃鏡明《故鄉情》畫展好評如潮

    【僑報周末特約記者李強波士頓圖文報道】6月9日中午，黃鏡明《故鄉情》主題畫展在華埠華美銀行展廳開幕，近百名各界嘉賓、書畫愛好者出席了開幕式。本次展出的60多幅作品，由黃鏡明先生精心挑選，是他從藝半個多世紀以來的代表作，引得當天不少觀衆的嘖嘖稱讚。
