  • CAAL Celebrates 36th Anniversary and Chinese New Year

    Lexington, Mass., Feb, 15, 2019, — Chinese American Association Association of Lexington (CAAL) held Chinese New Year celebration at Battin Memorial Hall on Feb, 10. It was the sixth day of the Chinese New Year of Pig which started on Feb 5. Over 700 people showed up for the celebration.

  • Funeral Mass for Prof. Thomas Shen on June 22 in Lexington

    Boston, July 20, 2016, — Thomas B.C. Shen of Lexington, MA passed away on June 15, 2016. A retired Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, he battled Parkinson’s Disease for many years.

  • Dream of the Red Chamber Concert — An Instant Classic in Pictures

    Lexington, Mass., April 12, 2016, — Just days before the Patriots’ Day, Dream of the Red Chamber concert took stage at Battin Hall just steps away from the Battle Green. You won’t hear any gunshots but wonderful Chinese traditional music and beautiful songs from the classic 1987 Chinese TV series The Dream of the Red Chamber. Over 1,500 music fans attended two concerts in the afternoon and evening on Sunday, April 10.

  • Pictures and Video from 2015 CAAL Summer Outing

    Lexington, Mass, Sept. 1, 2015, — Over 400 people showed up for the annual summer outing of Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL) on August 29. The weather was perfect at Patriot Golf Course in Bedford this year as many people still remembered the huge thunderstorm that moved all the party goers into a big tent last year.

  • You Are Invited to LexFun’s Kick Off Party on 9/10

    Lexington, Mass., August 31, 2015, — LexFUN! (Lexington’s Five and Under Network, Inc.) invites all families with young children five and under to come to its All-Day, Membership Open House and Kick Off Party on Thursday, September 10th at St. Brigid’s Parish, 2001 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02421.  The event will run from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm with non-stop programming throughout the day.  The event is open to the public and free of charge!

  • Celebrating Chinese New Year at Cary Memorial Library

    In the morning of Jan. 24, I was debating whether I wanted to go to Chinese American Association of Lexington’s (CAAL) Chinese New Year celebration or not. The ride decided for me as I could not change the time. I’m glad that I did. I probably was among the very first ones getting there. They were still trying to set up the place.

  • You Are Invited — Chinese New Year Festival at Cary Memorial Library

    Lexington, Mass., Jan. 21, 2015, — The Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL), Cary Memorial Library, and the town of Lexington, are sponsoring a free Chinese New Year Festival this year, and you’re invited! This year’s event, to be held on Saturday, January 24th, promises to be both special and spectacular. The Festival is so full of activities for all ages and interests that it had to be split into two parts! Experience a multi-sensory Chinese Culture Fair at Cary Memorial Library in the afternoon, from 1:00pm to 3:45pm. Spectacular performances will be on stage at Lexington High School in the evening.

  • Minuteman@Lex Raised over $200 for LEF at 2014 N.E. Triathlon

    Lexington, Mass., July 28, 2014, — A group of 31 kids, age 7 to 12, from Lexington area raced at 2014 New England Triathlon at MIT on July 20. The team called Minuteman@Lex has pledged over $200 to Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) as each participate was able to raise at least $10.

    Lexington, Mass., May 31, 2014, — Wu Ying Vocal Studio held annual concert at Follen Community Church in Lexington, Mass on May 18. A total of 25 Chinese folk songs and Western opera pieces were performed to an audience of about 150.
