  • Art Groups, ATV Miss Asia Contestants Rock the Fifth AA Day

    Boston, Sept. 28, 2015, — The Fifth AA Day event was successfully held at Boston Marriott Burlington on Sept. 20. Many local art and cultural groups participated in this annual event to celebrate the cultural heritage of Asian Americans as the Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corning. Over 600 guests showed up for the event presented by Asian American Association of Boston and its 12 partner orgnizations. State Senator Jason Lewis, State Rep. Donald Wong and Selectman of Town of Burlington Robert Hogan were on hand to offer citations to Asian American Association of Boston. CCBA-NE president Hung Goon and Nam Pham representing Quincy Mayor also made congratulatory speeches.

  • Flying High! NEU’s Coco Miao Wins ATV Miss Asia Boston

    Boston, Sept. 15, 2015, — Just a couple years ago, Coco Miao worked hard at 30,000 feet above ground to bring smiles on faces of first-class passengers of China Eastern Airlines. Her beautiful smile won the hearts of the six judges and cheers and applause from 600 in the audience at John Hancock Hall Sunday night. Miss. Miao was crowned as the first ATV Miss Asia Boston winner.

  • The 5th Asian American Day Prep Meeting Held at CCBA in Boston Chinatown

    On July 13, the 5th Asian American Day Preparatory Meeting was held at Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) in Boston Chinatown. Klysler Yen, vice president of AAAB (Asian American Association of Boston) board attended the meeting, and his son Donnie Yen, the famous Hong Kong Kung Fu movie star, delivered his congrats and wishes to the successful hosting of the 5th Asian American Day event via his father. Director David Bai hosted the meeting. The Asian American Day aims to create a platform in order to unify Asian Americans in Boston, and to beautify Asian American communities.

  • BCPA Photographer Takes You to the Wild Africa

  • Pictures from ACLS Chinese New Year Celebrations

    Acton, Mass., March 5, 2015, — The Acton Chinese Language School (ACLS) hosted Chinese New Year celebration on March 1 from 3:30 to 8:30 PM at the Acton Boxborough Regional High School. Over 1,000 students, teachers, parents and guests showed up for the cultural events in the afternoon and evening gala performances that featured traditional singing, dancing and musical instruments.

  • Mayor Walsh Cheers for the Chinese New Year at CMA Banquet

    Boston, March 1, 2015, — Mayor Martin Walsh attended the Chinese New Year banquet of Chinese Merchants Association (CMA) at China Pearl restaurant in Boston Chinatown tonight. Mayor Walsh and board members of the CMA led three toasts for health, booming business and family harmony for the Chinese New Year of Sheep.

  • Pictures from The Fourth Asian American Festival

    Boston, August 8, 2014, — The fourth Asian American Festival arts gala was held at the Fenway Center in the evening of August 2, 2014. Close to 300 in the audience enjoyed a night of beautiful music and dance that celebrated the rich cultures and long history of Asian countries.

  • BCPA Ends 2013 with Indoors Photography Event and Lecture

    Boston, Jan. 6, 2014, — Boston Chinese Photographers’ Association (BCPA) wrapped up a year full of dramas and activities with a lecture at Framingham Public Library on Dec. 22, 2013. Over 20 members attended the lecture, and nine of them shared pictures they took in 2013.

  • Photo Journal: New World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial

    I was in elementary school in China twelve years ago, and was heart broken when I heard the sad news. On September 12, 2013, I found myself at The National September 11 Memorial in downtown Manhattan, shooting photos all the way from the new World Trade Center (WTC) which is still under construction, to the Memorial Plaza.
