【波士顿双语网特约记者李心茗报道】四年前从中国厦门到胡桃山艺术学校留学的钢琴天才牛牛5月9日在该校举行了毕业音乐会。牛牛为不大的表演厅里挤得满满的近80位亲友、老师和同学表演了作曲家肖邦、贝多芬和穆索尔斯基的多首高难度钢琴曲,得到观众们长时间的起立鼓掌祝贺。

牛牛表演结束之际对大家前来出席他的毕业音乐会表示感谢,并把一个小朋友送给他的一束鲜花转送给了他的老师新英格兰音乐学院教授陈宏宽的夫人。他说:“我是因为陈老师才来到波士顿留学的。”陈宏宽当晚因为在纽约的茱莉亚(JuiIlliard)音乐学院担任评审,未能出席。牛牛还特别感谢中华表演医术基金会的谭嘉陵女士,说她对胡桃山艺术学校的亚洲学生来说就像妈妈一样。
1997年(牛年)7月份出生的牛牛,本名为张胜量,从小就显露出惊人的音乐天才。在厦大艺术学院钢琴专业毕业的父亲张长峰的悉心教育之下,6岁开始举办正式的独奏音乐会,7岁起开始在法国、英国、德国、瑞士、美国、日本、台湾、香港、澳门等世界著名音乐厅举办音乐会。
张长峰当晚忙着拍摄儿子毕业音乐会的录像。他介绍说牛牛每天平均只练三个小时的钢琴和一个小时的小提琴,从来没参加过任何国内或国际的大小音乐比赛,而16岁的牛牛在去年年底直接被ICA国际古典艺术家经纪公司签约成为职业钢琴家,这在今天钢琴和小提琴的琴童们竞争激烈的环境里,是一个奇迹。
据牛牛妈妈施志丽介绍,牛牛申请了三所音乐学院:NEC、茱莉亚和约翰·霍普金斯大学的Peabody,都被录取了。NEC给牛牛打了满分,茱莉亚给牛牛全额奖学金,包括住宿、生活费。
“我们都很喜欢波士顿这个有文化气息城市,但陈宏宽老师被茱莉亚聘请,我们考虑再三,只好先去纽约,将来有可能还会回到波士顿,”施志丽说。
的确,像牛牛这样来自中国的钢琴天才,朗朗之后又一位具有国际影响力的职业钢琴家,哪一家音乐学院不想牛牛成为她的学生呢?

Be advised that in a very few cases (typically less than one percent) last-minute changes in faculty assignments must be made.

On behalf of the Piano faculty and Admissions Committee of New England Conservatory, I am pleased to offer you admission to the Fall 2014 Bachelor of Music program in Piano Performance. Your audition and overall application represents the caliber of musician that NEC is proud to have as part of our student body. Admission to NEC recognizes both your talent and your potential for success, and we hope that you are proud of this accomplishment!
In the interest of time, we are sending this official decision to you via email. To download all the appropriate admission information and enrollment forms, please visit our webpage for admitted students at http://necmusic.edu/admitted-students. We will not send a hard copy of this email or the enrollment documents unless you contact us to specifically request that we do so.
To reserve your place in the entering class, please complete and return the Candidate Response Form with a non-refundable tuition deposit of US $500. Both the form and deposit must be received no later than May 1, 2014, after which your place in the incoming class may be offered to a student on the waiting list.
If you have completed the financial aid process in a timely fashion, your award will be sent in a separate email shortly. If you have any questions about financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Office directly at (617) 585-1110 or [email protected].
In order for us to send the I-20 form that you will need to obtain an F-1 student visa, you must complete and return the Certification of Finance Form and corresponding bank statement(s). These documents must be submitted to us by May 15. If you have received scholarship from NEC, please list this scholarship as one of the sources of funding on the form. We cannot send you an I-20 form until we receive this paperwork.
Please note that all offers of admission are provisional until we have received a final, official transcript documenting coursework, grades, and the date of conferral of the qualifying degree or diploma. Final transcripts are due August 1. If we already have a final transcript on file, you do not need to send it again.
