Nov. 2, 2014, — Yesterday, we had our 37th New England Association of Chinese Professionals (NEACP) Annual Conference in Harvard University Yenching Library. All the speakers were great. Some topics were out of reach for me and you learn something new every day. We had about 80 to 100 people for the day at the competence and about 40 people for dinner.

with the keynote speakers ,Shih-Su Ching of Taiwan and Shih-Fen S. Chen of Canada and others in charge Chang-Sun-Mei, Chang-Chun-Hwa and Shih-Wei Wang at the dinner in Changsu restaurant in Cambridge.

Sitting straight through few hours in one day was kind of tiresome and bad for my back and knees. Good thing is that we had coffee breaks, lunch and book signing. Betty Chao’s son gave me a ride in the morning at 830 AM. I sat next to Wan-Ching and Su-Ling, Chang Chu-Hwa gave me a ride to the restaurant in the evening.

The dinner was at Changso in Porter Square in Cambridge. The food was better than usual.

It was nice to see some of the people that we haven’t seen each other in a year. Next year the one in charge is Wan-Ching and I’m very happy about that. I missed seeing Bob and Kathy Wang and Lee-Shaw-Yuen. I was told that Chao-Hsiao-LAN is coming next year as one of the key note speakers and that alone should attract a lot of new people coming.

I was sitting next to Ted and Lin Lee and few Tuft and Harvard graduate students at the dinner. I love sitting with the young people . Keeping up with what’s going on in the college campus. So my mind will not be stale.

I bought the three baskets of flowers at the closing of the conference. Number one, I love fresh flowers, I can rearrange and give it to friends, number two, trying to help them out for fundraising.

It was raining most of the day, wet and cold. I was told that we might even have some snow flurry tomorrow. Probably it was good to be at the conference all day. I enjoyed the day very much, learning something new at the different lectures, and reunion with old friends.

It’s day light saving times again. Fall back one hour. We have one hour extra to do work or sleep.
