  • 吳弭兩天獲波士頓兩大報紙背書

    【波士頓華人雙語網特約記者李心茗報導】下週二，11月5日，波士頓市長和市議員大選將在媒體和公眾的高度關注之下舉行。波士頓市長選舉的選票上二十年來第一次沒有了曼寧諾（Tom Menino）的名字，兩位市長候選人分別是波士頓不分區市議員江樂理（John Connolly）和州議員沃什（Marty Walsh）。而第二選區市議員候選人李素影（Suzanne Lee）和不分區市議員候選人吳弭（Michelle Wu）在選舉的最後十天，也是竭盡全力，爭取每一張選票。波士頓市議會第二選區的選民可以同時投票給李素影和吳弭。

  • Suzanne Lee and Michelle Wu Win Endorsements from Boston Herald

    Boston, Oct. 30, 2013, — Boston Herald published editorial endorsements for Boston City Council on Oct. 29, exactly a week from election day on Nov. 5. Suzanne Lee and Michelle Wu are among the candidates who got its endorsement from the paper, and their campaigns certainly got a boost in the final stretch.

  • 李安哈佛电影节谈《色戒》

    【波士顿华人双语网综合报道】今年10月18日-12月22日为哈佛大学电影节，在哈佛电影档案馆放映历年经典电影，其中包括李安导演作品《色戒》、《饮食男女》、《卧虎藏龙》等。10月26日，李安下午在哈佛大学费正清中国研究中心参加了电影相关的讨论会之后，晚上在哈佛电影档案馆《色戒》播映之后同观众见面，并就《色戒》拍摄前后的各种因素和考虑用英文回答了提问。

  • Tsinghua University SEM Appoints New Advisory Board Members: Tim Cook, Ma Yun and Jim Breyer

    Beijing, Oct. 28, 2013, — On Oct. 23, School of Economics and Management (SEM) Advisory Committee of Tsinghua University, the leading university in science and technology fields in China, held 2013 meeting at Tsinghua University. Three new members were appointed to SEM’s Advisory Board: Tim Cook, Apple CEO , Ma Yun, founder of Alibaba Group, and Jim Breyer, venture capitalist and board member of Harvard University.

  • 戈梅斯一击定乾坤 红袜扳平总比分

    【新华网华盛顿１０月２７日体育专电（记者林德韧）】一个本垒打左右了一场比赛的胜负，这次打击的执行者是戈梅斯。

    ２０１３赛季美国职棒大联盟（ＭＬＢ）总决赛（又称“世界系列赛”）２７展开第四场角逐，凭借外野手戈梅斯在第六局的一记３分本垒打，客场作战的波士顿红袜队以４：２力克占据天时地利人和的圣路易斯红雀队，将双方总比分扳为２：２平手。

  • ABC Apologizes to People of Chinese Descent Through 80-20 PAC

    80-20 PAC, which is by far the largest Asian American political action committee with an email list of 350,000 e-addresses, announced today that ABC’s top executives gave verbal and written apologies for permitting an offensive segment in “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to air.

  • 北美崔哥：“杀光中国人！”该沉默还是发声？

    十月十七日，美国ABC夜间脱口秀主持人吉米金波在搞笑节目中采访四个美国小孩，当问到“美国欠中国1.3万亿美元，我们怎么还？”一个白人小孩回答“杀光所有中国人。”背景里响起一片笑声。这档节目全美播放，至少几百万人看了。
    北美崔哥的我是搞脱口秀的，这档节目我经常看。当时虽然听着不大舒服，但是毕竟是小孩子狂言，童心无邪，童言无忌，也就没往深里想。第二天，我的一个美国朋友把这段视频发给我，写了句“This is too much. He should be fired.” ( 这太过份了，他应该被解雇。)

  • Four Chinese University Reunion on a Perfect Autumn Day in Boston

    Boston, Oct. 22, 2013, –I went to the four Chinese university (Fudan, Jiaotong, Nanjing and Nankai) reunion in Brighton on Oct. 19. TaiDa wasn’t there. I guess that Tsinghua, Chiao-Da and PKU weren’t there either. Of course, Jeh-Kuo and Taipei 1st girls high school weren’t there. I had studied in Chung-King Nankai Middle School and Nanjing Chung-Da-Fu-Chung (Nanjing University) before I went to Taiwan. I wore so many “HATS”, being the oldest, probably the only white hair grandma there. I felt very much at “home” with these groups. I love to be mingled with the younger set, and the beautiful weather this Fall in Boston has been really awesome.

  • 加州湾区抗议 Jimmy Kimmel Live 大游行28日举行

    最近 ABC Network 播出的 Jimmy Kimmel Kid’s Table Show 节目中的反中国人言论激起了广大中国移民的愤慨。尽管我们新移民联合会（NIU）的主要目标是帮助中国职业移民尽早获得绿卡，我们移民美国的目的之一是寻求一个平等、公正的社会环境。因此，NIU呼吁美国华人社会的朋友以各种方式抗议这个节目。
