    Guo was the chief suona musician of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, founding president of Hong Kong Suona Association, National Band Music Research Director of Chinese Musician Association, meanwhile employed by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a guest instructor.

  • 二十九位华人学者当选美国物理学会会士

    （中国科学网报道）近日，2012年美国物理学会会士（APS Fellow）增选结果揭晓。在新当选的217名会士中，有29名是华人科学家。


    		 美国物理学会（American Physical Society，APS）成立于1899年，是世界第二大物理学组织，是一个非牟利科教组织，致力通过学术刊物、会议及推广活动，探究并弘扬物理学，在全球约有四万多会员。 美国物理学会每年增选新会士，人数不超过其会员人数的千分之五。因其严格的遴选程序，其会士称号被视为物理学界的较高荣誉。 以下为当选的华人名单：

  • Mascot Named “Fuleco” for 2014 World Cup Brazil

    Brazil’s 2014 FIFA World Cup mascot, a blue and yellow armadillo…now officially has a name. Following an online vote, the armadillo was baptized on Sunday as “Fuleco”, a word which organisers say transmits a message of environmental awareness.

  • 2012 MIT中国创新与创业论坛再创辉煌

    【侨报周末特约记者李强波士顿图文报道，刊登于《侨报周末》2012年11月24日头版】11月16日至18日，为期两天半的麻省理工学院中国创新与创业论坛（MIT-CHIEF）在麻省理工史塔塔（stata）中心举行。本次论坛吸引了来自中美两国的近700位与会者，就在科技领域创新创业展开了热烈的讨论。论坛通过主题演讲、板块讨论、创业大赛和科技展览等形式，为中国创新与创业发展建言献策。

    拿破仑曾经说过不想当将军的士兵不是一个好的士兵，而这句话在具有创新创业传统的麻省理工学院（MIT）应该改为：不想创业的学生不是一个好学生。
