    【中新社2013年1月26日电】昨天，中国金花李娜在澳网女单决赛中2比0战胜了对手齐布尔科娃，捧起了达芙妮杯，这是她的第二座大满贯奖杯。31岁334天的年龄，李娜成为公开赛时代夺得澳网女单冠军最年长的选手。半决赛后，李娜曾笑称来自于一个1000万人口的小镇（武汉）。昨天，小镇姑娘亲手将冠军奖杯送给了丈夫姜山。而明天，就是李娜与姜山的结婚8周年纪念日。

  • Empow Studios Empower Kids for Technology Economy of Tomorrow

    Lexington, Mass., Jan. 23, 2013, — I started to do some research on local technology classes for kids when my 5-year-old son told me that he wanted to become a robot builder a few weeks ago. A friend of mine mentioned Empow Studios to me. I made a visit to Empow Studios in downtown Lexington a couple days ago, and had a brief interview with its founder Mr. Leonid Tunik.

    2013年，我们从武汉市第十二中学高中毕业25年了。在这年年底发生的一件事情，让我们一帮毕业25年的老同学感到我们还是一群在一个教室上课的小伙伴，彼此之间的关爱之心、同学之情并没有因时间流逝、空间隔离而被淡化。几经周折，我们找到了同班同学、敬爱的邓鸿宾老师的女儿邓燕。

  • Deaths from Car Accidents Hit Five Year High in N.H.

    Nashua, N.H., Jan. 23, 2014, — An early morning crash on Jan. 18 claimed lives of two year people. Colin Ross, 23, of Hampton Falls and Stacy Walsh, 22, of West Newbury, Mass. passed away Ross lost control of the 2002 Honda Accord, and hit a utility pole. Policed cited alcohol and speeding as possible cause of the crash.

  • 悼念我的南开中学同学许燕吉

    昨天接到北京南开同学的电邮，里面有一条骇人听闻的消息，看了我非常伤心。我的好朋友，许地山的女儿燕吉，得了肺癌，又转到骨癌，于1月13日在南京去世了，终年81岁。这突如其来的消息，好像晴天霹雳，弄得我一晚上都睡不着觉。

  • 84岁华人纽约过马路疑遭警察暴力

    【中新社1月23日电】当地时间21日，美国纽约市警察局开始就警方上周日对华裔老人乱穿马路执法致其受伤的事件进行调查。纽约市警察局长布兰顿称警察没有滥用武力，而纽约市新市长德布拉西奥以事件原因还不清楚为由，拒绝发表评论。

  • Asian American Association of Boston Holds Friendship Party

    Cambridge, Mass., Jan. 21, 2014, –Asian American Association of Boston(AAAOB) held its first Friendship Party in the afternoon of Jan. 18 at Cambridge Innovation Center on One Broadway. Despite a snowstorm on that day, close to 100 invited guests still showed up. AAAOB board president Ye Huang, executive director Klysler Yen, and director of AAAOB’s Performing Art Troupe Jicheng Gu warmly welcomed all guests.

    首先，我代表逝者马聪的父亲、我的三姐夫马玉启先生，代表逝者孙海鲛的母亲、我的姐姐田玉静女士，代表我们远在中国的所有亲友，由衷地感谢你们在百忙当中赶到这里，追思我们的亲人，分担我们的悲伤！

    直到现在，我还是难以相信四位亲人就这样永远地离我而去了！他们四人怀着对未来生活无限美好的憧憬开始了幸福之旅，却被这场车祸打断了行程！

    【波士顿双语网实习记者王晓晶2014年1月21日图文报道】2014年新年伊始，波士顿亚美联谊会（Asian American Association of Boston）于1月18日假剑桥市创新中心举办了一次隆重的友谊见面会。

    尽管一月的波城大雪纷飞，近百位应邀的嘉宾依然冒雪前来。主办本次活动的亚美联谊会是美国联邦及麻州政府核定的非营利性社区组织，目前有25个包括波士顿双语网在内的来自社会各个行业的长期合作伙伴，为波士顿地区的各族裔人士提供联络联谊、资讯交流和文化交流平台。
