Thank you for running the 14th Annual Harpoon 5-Miler to benefit The Angel Fund! 4,300 finishers, 300 volunteers, and hundreds of spectators helped us raise $180,600 (and counting!) for The Angel Fund, which supports critical research for Dr. Robert Brown and his team at UMASS Medical Center. This puts the 14 year total over $1,147,322!

West Lake of Boston’s Sister City Hangzhou Ranked Top Scenic Spot in China

Boston, May 18, 2015, — Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province, China, and a sister city of Boston. The city’s West Lake was, once again, the most popular scenic spot in China during the three-day Labor Day (May 1, known as May Day in the US) holiday, according to a list by AMAP. The city’s Thousand Island Lake, the Forbidden City in Beijing, Hengdian World Studios and Mount Lao in Shandong ranked the second to the fifth on the list.

China’s Tiens Group Treats 6400 Employees to French Vacation
Paris, May 11, 2015, — The biggest tour group to visit France — 6,400 mainly Chinese visitors invited by their company boss — received a VIP welcome in the southern resort town of Nice on Saturday.

Good afternoon. I’m very pleased to be with you today in Boston, my first official visit here, one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I am even more interested in visiting Boston when I read, a few weeks ago, that Boston had been named one of the world’s most livable cities in the Mercer 2015 Quality of Living rankings.
Of course, the people of Boston don’t need me or Mercer to tell them that they’ve got a good thing going: a city renowned for its community spirit; a city long celebrated as an international powerhouse in education; a city fast-emerging as a global business and technology hub.

HBS’ Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center Tops Off
Boston, April 27, 2015, — Harvard Business School (HBS) held a “Topping Off” ceremony at the construction site of a new Executive Education facility — the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center on Friday, April 24, signifying the completion of the structural phase of the project. The 30-minute ceremony began at 11:30 AM with remarks by Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria; former U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao (MBA 1979); Ms. Angela Chao, Deputy Chair, Foremost Group (AB 1994, MBA 2001); and Robert C. O’Leary, Senior Vice President, Lee Kennedy Company, the construction firm building the Ruth Mu Ian Chu Chao Center.

First Building Named after a Woman on Harvard Campus Tops Off Today
