    Cambridge, Mass., March 19, 2015, — The two-day Innovation Expo 2015 powered by PYMNTS comes to an end today at Science Center of Harvard University. The focus of this year’s Expo is the world-wide innovation made in the area of payments and commerce. It covers panel discussions, the Innovator Expo, the Thinkathon and 2015 Innovator Awards, and draws hundreds of innovators to Harvard despite of the cold weather.

  • LA Lakers and East West Bank Plant Trees at Local School

    The Lakers, East West Bank, TreePeople, community and state partners work to tear out 4,000 square feet of asphalt and plant 30 trees on school campus.

    Los Angeles, Calif.— Julius Randle, the Lakers Girls, and East West Bank will join with TreePeople staff, partners and over 100 volunteers on Saturday, March 14th, to transform 20th Street Elementary School’s urban campus. More than 4,000 square feet of impermeable asphalt has been removed to make way for a total of 30 Raywod Ash, Australian Willow and Crape Mertyle trees to grace the schoolyard and provide some needed shade and nature. The tree planting is part of the Lakers Trees for Threes eco-initiative. East West Bank has pledged to plant a tree in Los Angeles for every three pointer made by the Lakers team at STAPLES Center. The 30 trees planted on Saturday are just some of the trees earned by the Lakers this season.

  • BBMP Hosts Book Release Party

    Boston, March 12, 2015, — Boston Bilingual Media and Publishing (BBMP) Inc. hosted a book release party for Love of Four Seasons on March 7 at Royal East restaurant in Cambridge. Over a dozen people showed up to congratulate author Ms. Shuping Yao for her new novel about four love stories of Chinese student Mo Ni.

  • New National Standard for Face Masks to Take Effect in China

  • Lunar New Year Gala Showcases Leadership by Women Professionals

    Boston, March 3, 2015, — The New England Chinese Professionals 2015 Lunar New Year Gala and Community Forum were held at Boston Marriott in Newton, Mass. recently. Close to 1,000 members of the 16 professional associations, guests and visitors participated in the day-long event despite snowy weather, and witnessed the confident leadership by women professionals who played leading roles in putting together this year’s event.
