    Hong Kong, Oct. 6, 2014, — Hong Kong demonstrators, which occupied main finance regions of the city in protest to the Chinese government’s intervention in selection of names to be nominated for 2017 elections, decided to dissolve. Principles of dialogue on constitutional reform has been agreed upon by both sides.

  • Boston Marks China’s National Day with Flag Raising Ceremony

    Boston, Oct. 1, 2014, — Today is the 65th Anniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China. A flag raising ceremony was held at Boston City Hall plaza on Sept. 27. Over a thousand people showed up to witness the national flag of China rising along side of US National and Mass. State flags.

    Washington, D.C., — Sept. 23, 2014, — Last night, President Obama ordered American armed forces to begin targeted airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria. Speaking from the White House South Lawn today, the President made it clear that these strikes are part of the U.S. campaign to deliver one message on ISIL: They will find no safe-haven.

  • UN Chief Joins People’s Climate Match in NYC

    New York City, Sept. 22, 2014 – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today told what is thought to be the largest ever march in the United States demanding measures to halt the advance of global climate change, that there is no “Plan B” for action as there is no “Planet B.”

  • San Francisco Exhibition Commemorates 83rd Anniversary of Mukden Incident

    San Francisco, Sept.18, 2014, — Today is the 83rd year anniversary of the “Sept. 18 Incident”, also known as the Mukden Incident, in Northeastern China. This incident led to Japanese occupation of three Chinese provinces: Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning for 14 years until Japan surrounded unconditionally at the end of WWII. The anniversary was marked in China and in Chinese American communities in the US.

  • This Video Is Banned in Japan

    American director Oliver Stone visited Hiroshima on the “Atomic Bomb Memorial Day” and gave a speech. He compared Germany and Japan after World War II, and delivery fiery criticism of Japan’s political situation. He asked government leaders to reflect on the United States, Japan and China relations.

  • President Obama Commemorates the 13th Anniversary of 9/11

    PRESIDENT OBAMA: Good morning. Scripture tells us, “We count as blessed those who have persevered.”

    Secretary Hagel, General Dempsey, members of our Armed Forces, and, most of all, the survivors of that September day and the families of those we lost –- Michelle and I are humbled to be with you once again.

    It has now been 13 years. Thirteen years since the peace of an American morning was broken. Thirteen years since nearly 3,000 beautiful lives were taken from us, including 125 men and women serving here at the Pentagon. Thirteen years of moments they would have shared with us. Thirteen years of memories they would have made.

  • Mayor Fung Wins R.I. GOP Governor Nomination

    Cranston, R.I., Sept. 10, 2014, — Cranston Mayor and R.I. Governor candidate Alan Fung pulled off a ten-point victory in yesterday’s primaries. Fung won 55% votes and defeated opponent Ken Block. Mayor Fung and Democratic nominee R.I. General Treasurer Gina Raimondo will face off in the November’s general election for Governor.

    Fung delivered an exiting victory speech last night, and outlined his vision for lowering taxes and creating more job opportunities for R.I. residents if elected Governor.
