    Boston, May 29, 2013, — Imagine you have worked so hard for months to put together a grand dance show that features dozens professional dancers from China. When the show time finally came and ended with thunderous applause by a sold out audience at Boston’s John Hancock Hall, how proud and relieved you would feel. You could see it from the smiling face of Ke Ke, artistic director of Angel Dance Company, at end of the show in the evening of May 26.

    New York City, June 1, 2013, — Starting from early 1980s, tens of thousands graduates from Chinese Universities started to pursue graduate studies abroad with China’s Open Door policy. American universities were often their top choices. Many of them stayed in the US after gaining master’s and doctoral degrees, and became scientists, professors, engineers and entrepreneurs.

  • 波士顿海归张辰宇揭穿转基因食品安全神话

    【波士顿华人双语网李强报道】近日来，随着美国俄勒冈州一家农场发现转基因小麦出现在非转基因小麦农田中，后来得到美国部测试证实，而引起世界性关注。虽然美国农业部强调转基因小麦不会对人体健康产生危害，也没有进入商业流通渠道，欧洲已经要求测试从美国进口的小麦，日本已经停止进口美国西北部地区的一些品种的小麦，而中国和菲律宾等多国表示，密切关注事态发展。

  • 市长曼宁诺、名嘴欧普拉获哈佛荣誉博士学位

    【侨报特约记者李强波士顿报道】在5月30举行的哈佛大学第362届毕业典礼上，即将退休的波士顿市长曼宁诺和美国脱口秀女皇欧普拉获得荣誉博士学位。今年一共有7321位毕业生领到了哈佛大学的学位，其中包括哈佛学院的1651位2013届本科毕业生。

  • Chinese Baby Rescued from Sewage Pipe Leaves Hospital

    Beijing, May 30, 2013, — The infant boy who was rescued from a toilet pipe in east China’s Zhejiang province has been released from hospital. Local police said the baby was taken home by his grandparents.
