    Boston, Oct. 22, 2018, In less than three weeks before the mid-tern election, Independent candidate for US Senate Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai and United Nations strategist Shaoyu Yuan came to Boston Chinatown. They spoke with Asian community leaders. The attendees included the President of Empire Auction House Nick Pan, board member of Asian American Association of Boston Fei Pan, President of World Art Centre and Artist Molly Mao.

  • Boston Kicks off 2018 Early Voting

    BOSTON – Monday, October 22, 2018 – A day before World Series to start at Fenway Park, the City of Boston today began its two-week early voting period for the November 6, 2018 State Election. “VoteEarly Boston” runs through Friday, November 2, 2018, and City Hall is Boston’s main early voting site, with voting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Voters are encouraged to enter City Hall through the North Side entrance to access the early voting location on the second floor.

Over the past decades, many Chinese immigrants have been blessed to be welcome into greater Boston area. We settle down and thrive. Some of us are even playing in Division 1 over the hill soccer league (OTHSL.org). We have been taking a lot from Bostonian. Now is the time for us to give back!

  • BCNC Releases Statement on Proposal to Deny Green Cards to Those Who Use Public Benefits

    Over the weekend, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced an upcoming proposed policy that would allow the government to deny green cards to immigrants who use public benefits, such as housing assistance, Medicaid and Medicare, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits – commonly called “food stamps” – and many more.

  • The Last Sacred Place of Poetry Draws Rave Reviews at MIFF

    Boston, August 31, 2018, — The Last Sacred Place of Poetry, a documentary about the Grolier Poetry bookshop by Director Weiying (Olivia) Huang and Editor Mengyuan Lin, who received master degree in Digital Media program at Northeastern University. This is the only Chinese international student’s film, has been officially selected to the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival (MIFF) 2018. The premiere drew rave reviews from the audience at the Regent Theatre in Arlington on August 25.

  • Xiaowei Zhuang to Receive 2018 Dr H.P. Heineken Prize for Biochemistry and Biophysics

  • Over 150 Asian American Orgs Jointly File Amicus Brief Opposing Harvard’s Discriminatory Admissions Practices

    On July 30, 2018, representing 156 Asian American organizations, Asian American Coalition for Education (AACE), in collaboration with Asian American Legal Foundation (AALF), filed an Amicus Brief with the United States District Court in Boston to oppose Harvard University’s discriminatory admissions practices and to support the plaintiff (Students for Fair Admissions, SFFA) in its lawsuit against Harvard University.
