【波士顿双语网记者李强2018年12月21日报道】波士顿美术馆不久前宣布，百岁老人翁万戈捐赠该馆183件文物，其中包含有很多国宝级的文物，横跨了13个世纪和5个朝代，在读者中引发争议。有读者认为翁万戈把家传的文物捐给世界知名的波士顿美术馆，有利于在海外弘扬中华文化，也有读者质问这些来自中国的文物为什么不捐赠给中国的博物馆？

Meet Christina Yu Yu, Matsutaro Shoriki Chair, Art of Asia @MFA
Boston, Dec. 24, 2018, — Earlier this year, Matthew Teitelbaum, Ann and Graham Gund Director of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), announced that Christina Yu Yu has been appointed as the Matsutaro Shoriki Chair, Art of Asia. An alumna of Wellesley College and Boston University, Ms. Yu (pictured below) returned to Boston and assumed her new role at the MFA.

台南市六十萬人口中，有十分之一為日本裔。
“我的父母是基督徒，走後均葬於台南市的基督教墓園，環顧四周的墓碑上雋刻的大多有兩個名字，一個中文名字一個日文名字，或許你認為是日據時代安葬的人，錯了，墓碑後面刻的後代子嗣也是中日文並列著兩個名字，哇！原來戰後留在台南的日本人還不在少數。
1945年10月25日，中華民國國民政府對其從大日本帝國接手統治台灣與澎湖群島，標誌著台灣日治時期的結束、以及戰後時期的開始。

Chinese American World War II Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Act Becomes Law
San Francisco, December 21, 2018, — The Chinese American World War II Veterans Recognition Project, a program of the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) Community Involvement Fund, a federally recognized non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that on Thursday, December 20, President Donald Trump has signed the Chinese American WWII Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Act into law. Chinese Americans who served in the six branches of the United States Armed Services during WWII are finally getting the honor and recognition long due them.
