  • Chinese American World War II Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Act Becomes Law

    San Francisco, December 21, 2018, — The Chinese American World War II Veterans Recognition Project, a program of the National Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) Community Involvement Fund, a federally recognized non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that on Thursday, December 20, President Donald Trump has signed the Chinese American WWII Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Act into law. Chinese Americans who served in the six branches of the United States Armed Services during WWII are finally getting the honor and recognition long due them.

    【波士顿双语网记者李强报道】由波士顿美籍华人传统基金会发起的建造「联盟和谐号」(Harmony Through Union)玫瑰花车活动，过去数月来在全美侨社引起极大的反响，获得美东地区侨胞的积极捐款。在各界的大力支持下，建造这座花车所需要的约30多万美元经费将能够如期筹集到位。

  • Made in the USA! CRRC Delivers Subway Cars To MBTA

    SPRINGFIELD, Dec. 18, 2018 — Marking a significant milestone in the delivery of subways to the MBTA, CRRC MA Chairman and President Jia Bo, joined by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Chinese Counsel General in New York Mr. Huang Pnig, MassDOT Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack, Interim MBTA General Manager Jeff Gonneville, and Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, gathered at CRRC MA’s Springfield manufacturing facility to applaud the on completion of the first pair of Orange Line cars to be delivered to the MBTA.

  • 中车麻省公司获「麻州经济影响奖」

    【波士顿双语网记者李强报道】在不久前波士顿海滨万丽酒店举行的麻州经济委员会（MassEcon）颁奖仪式中，中车麻省公司（CRRC MA）获「麻州经济影响奖」，是麻州今年获得这个奖项的15个企业之一。12月18日（周二）中午，中车麻省公司将在麻州轨道交通装备制造厂举行盛大的新车厢下线仪式，两台橙线地铁列车车厢将正式下线，为麻州地铁乘客送上一份圣诞大礼。

    On behalf of Asian American Coalition for Education (AACE), I am writing to you to condemn Netflix’s October broadcasting of a segment from Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj，titled “Affirmative Action,” in which the host, Mr. Hasan Minhaj，viciously ridiculed and vilified outstanding AACE leaders. These courageous leaders and proud Americans are tirelessly fighting for Asian-American children’s civil rights and equal education rights for all Americans.

  • AACE强烈谴责Netflix抹黑亚裔民权领袖

    【波士顿双语网新泽西州李文斯顿2018年12月10日讯】12月9日，美国亚裔联盟（AACE）向Netflix发信，严厉谴责其在今年十月播出的一期《爱国之举》（Patriot Act）节目。该节目肆无忌惮地霸凌美国亚裔社区民权抗争以及毫无底线地纵容众多美国一流大学对亚裔孩子的入学歧视。这集名叫《平权法案》(Affirmative Action)的节目由哈桑·明哈杰(Hasan Minhaj)主持：他打着“喜剧“的招牌，对三位AACE领袖进行恶意的个人攻击并肆意扭曲AACE所追求的崇高使命。
    AACE为亚裔孩子争取平等教育权益的抗争既符合1964年民权法案的精神，又反映了绝大多数美国人支持大学录取择优录取原则的民心所向。AACE的领导人物为这一正义的目标不懈努力，他们的无私奉献彰显了杰出的个人品质以及令人崇敬的精神：Swan Lee女士是一个优秀的作家和关爱孩子的母亲；作为一个航天科学家，Ajay Kothari博士对美国科技创新作出了杰出的贡献；AACE创始人及主席赵宇空先生一直在热心传播儒家在教育、理财和犯罪防范等方面的智慧，以帮助美国的贫困家庭走出困境，善行可嘉。

  • US Vs. Huawei CFO Meng / 美国对孟晚舟的指控

    Wanzhou Meng (“Meng”), also known as “Cathy Meng” and “Sabrina Meng,” is the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (Huawei”), a corporation organized under the laws of the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”) and the world’s largest telecommunications equipment company. Meng is a citizen of the PRC and a daughter of Huawei’s founder, Ren Zhengfei. In addition to her role as CFO, Meng currently serves as Huawei’s Deputy Chairwoman of the Board, and serves or has served in various roles at other Huawei subsidiaries and affiliates. Meng also served on the board of Hong Kong-based Skycom Tech Co. Ltd. (“Skycom”) in or about and between February 2008 and April 2009. According to financial statements for Skycom for the years 2009 and 2010, the “principal activities of Skycom were engaged in [sic] investment holding and acting as a contractor for contracts undertaking [sic] in Iran.”

    孟晚舟，英文名Cathy Meng或Sabrina Meng，是华为技术有限公司（以下简称“华为”）的首席财务官。华为依据中国的法律运营，是全球最大的电信设备提供商。孟晚舟是中国公民，其为华为创始人任正非的女儿。除了是CFO，她也是华为的副董事长。她还在多家华为子公司中担任过或正在担任职务。孟晚舟也曾于2008年2月至2009年4月前后，在总部位于香港的Skycom科技有限公司（以下简称“Skycom”）担任过董事。Skycom 2009和2010年的财报显示：Skycom的主要业务是投资控股并担任与伊朗（签订）的合同的承包商。
